Overview:
Summer Camp volunteers teach classes in Chinese in a variety of subjects, including arts and crafts, reading, music, drama, science, board games, dance and environment, providing a very enriching experience for disadvantaged children in Shanghai between the ages of 6 and 12. Time commitment:
Minimum of at least 4 weeks during the summer (July and August). Volunteers are expected to commit to one day per week (including commute and lesson preparation time).
Commute:
45-90 minutes each way
Transport:
Stepping Stones can assist with reasonable transportation costs if needed and agreed in advance.
Requirements:
Fluent or native level of Chinese. Enjoy interacting with children.
