As the night fell, our volunteer appreciation party was held in the restaurant of our long-term pro bono supporter, Homeslice Pizza. From ice-breaker games to chatting freely, every moment was full of smiles and companionship. Retrace our steps to relive this unforgettable gathering filled with warmth and laughter!
Sign-in & Warm-up Games | Energetic Start, Quick Icebreaker
The volunteers arrived at the event site early in the evening. Our fun and simple warm-up game instantly ignited the site’s atmosphere, and everyone quickly drew closer to each other with laughter and lively conversation. Here, any sense of unfamiliarity disappeared, replaced by the tacit understanding and enthusiasm of like-minded people who started this wonderful spring journey together.
Opening Speech & Serving | Warm Speech, Delicious Taste
Accompanied by the warm and sincere opening speech of Huang Meng, Deputy Executive Director of Stepping Stones, the atmosphere became extraordinarily warm. Homeslice Pizza prepared various kinds of specialty pizzas and delicious snacks for everyone; these aromatic meals not only filled up our stomachs, but “energized” us the coming activities. Rob, the manager of Homeslice Pizza and a dedicated Stepping Stones volunteer, then deliver a speech at the event, wishing the event a complete success and hoping everyone would have a great time.
Everyone sat around enjoying the food and talking happily, and even those who had just met each other moments ago reminisced like old friends who hadn’t seen each other for a long time, sharing the bits and pieces of volunteer life in-between bites.
Programs Sharing | Short and Sweet, Looking Towards the Future
Each program manager took turns on the stage, sharing the spring program’s fruitful achievements with everyone and sincerely thanking each and every volunteer for their enthusiastic contribution to Stepping Stones! Thank you all for your love and enthusiasm, as well as your persistent contributions toward Stepping Stones’ programs.
Interactive Activities | Creative Collaboration, Joyful Hearts
The fun interactive activity “Jigsaw Puzzle” completely sparked the atmosphere of the restaurant! Everyone worked together to show off their strengths, encourage and support each other in the game, and finally perfectly replicate the original picture. The original pictures of the “Jigsaw Puzzle” came from the works of Stepping Stones’ beneficiaries. When everyone discovered the stories behind these pictures, the atmosphere once again lit up!
Volunteers Sharing | Heart with Sincere Feelings
Representatives shared their feelings about their participation in Stepping Stones volunteer activities with our volunteers. Although there weren’t always fancy words, the truest emotions shone through. These simple words deeply touched everyone’s hearts. Each story carries love and dedication, allowing us to see a glimpse of the spirit of volunteerism.
Lucky Draw | Surprises and Excitement
Finally, it was time for the highly anticipated lucky draw! A tense and exciting atmosphere filled the restaurant; everyone was holding their breath, hoping fortune would be in their favour. With the announcement of each lucky number, the prizes found their owners. The winners took a group photo and made a short speech about their winnings!
Open Chats | Talk from the Heart, Make New Friends
The chance to freely talk in a relaxed and cozy atmosphere brought the event to a successful conclusion. Everyone sat around and talked about their experiences and what they had gained from participating in volunteer activities, shared interesting stories from their lives, and made new friends by bonding over similar interests. Here, the simultaneous exchange of ideas and emotions brought everyone closer together, leaving behind great memories for this spring gathering.
