Join our upcoming tour to Zhejiang this August!
Are you looking for something to do during the last week of August? Would you like to join Stepping Stones as a volunteer and also travel out to the Chinese countryside? Why not join us on a rural tour from 22-26 August to teach English to “left-behind” children in a village outside of Yiwu in Zhejiang province?
As a volunteer on a Stepping Stones rural tour you will have the opportunity to be surrounded by the beauty of Zhejiang mountains, experience Chinese culture first-hand, while giving back to the local community by teaching English to the underprivileged students of the area. This is a week-long tour where volunteers will deliver fun and interactive English lessons to students at our partner “left-behind” children school. The trip will involve 3.5 days of voluntary teaching and a half-day excursion in the countryside.
The tour costs RMB 2,000 per participant, which includes:
- Round-trip train to Yiwu
- 24/7 staff support
- Pre-departure preparatory training and workshop
- Accommodation
- Meals
- Insurance
- Local transportation
- Stepping Stones t-shirt
- Volunteering certificate
This tour is designed for adult volunteers. Any volunteers between 15-17 years old must be accompanied by their parent or guardian, who will take full responsibility for them during the tour.
