Stepping Stones China recently teamed up with Habitat for Humanity, the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Optus for an amazing collaboration project at Xixiang Guangyuan School, located in Jiashan (Zhejiang province). For two days Stepping Stones and Optus employees worked alongside school staff teaching English words and songs to elementary school children. Meanwhile, Habitat for Humanity worked with hundreds of volunteers while they painted two vibrant murals for the school. The overall result was a fantastic experience for volunteers and children alike. The impact of English education at the elementary school level can be as long lasting as any mural, and the children of Xixiang Guangyuan School are sure to benefit from both for a very long time.
